My next project is a painting of my son's cat, Scarface. My previous work was of his sister, the very pretty and somewhat anxious Lilix, so it is only fair that Scarface gets a portrait as well.

Scarface is a lovely fluffy tuxedo cat. He thinks is a sneaky hunter, but fortunately he is not that good -- think less '007', more 'Get Smart'. Here is a photo of him in 'ninja-mode'.

I was really looking forward to painting the spiky fur. It is tricky to paint in black and still have texture and make it interesting.
